DESIGN

I have other interests besides writing, you know.

Sometimes.

SAFE ROUTES TO PARKS LOGO

Objective

Motivate New Bedford residents to be more active by encouraging them to safely and frequently utilize their local parks.

SOLUTION

For the campaign logo, I wanted something dynamic that encourages movement, so I created a child running along a park path, taking his kite along for the ride.  The path is S-shaped to convey the 'S' in "safe" and includes park imagery at the top.

WAYPOINT LOGO

Objective

Practice visual storytelling, typography, color theory and branding development through the creation of a brand for an up-and-coming Boston restaurant.

Target Audience

Young, trendy foodies age 25-35.

SOLUTION

I designed a new logo for Waypoint, a real-life trendy kitchen in Harvard Square. They offer innovative coastal cuisine and a cocktail bar with unique concoctions, such as absinthe. I wanted to represent the type of food the restaurant serves, as well as the ambiance of their physical space. Nailed it.

Don’t forget to use a coaster! Cute, right?

Here’s a view inside the restaurant! Isn’t having context great?
